Unified … ‘s Next Rising Star!

Dear Unified … family,

We have a rising star in our Unified … family. He is his class president at Kam School and he stepped out to provide his classmates the opportunity to receive prayer by having a prayer box in his classroom. Now he is on youtube.

Check him out! HIs name is Kona Abergas!!!

Wow! Watch him at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGeRo1RAa2M&feature=youtube_gdata_player .

We are so proud of you! But you neva tell me you can sing to!

Going viral???

Blessings,
Pastor Dean

I need to make a correction! Mistakenly I said Kona was the Class President, but he is actually the Vice President of the Choir. Pono Arias is the President of the Class. Wow! The a president and a vice president. We have some really powerful and influential youths in our midst.

We are so proud of all our youth! You are the future of our church, state, and country!

Also as you pray, I found a quote from Bill Johnson which will bless you. Bill says, “I can’t promise that every person I pray for is going to be healed. I’m not at that place yet. But I can ensure that they’re going to be loved.”

What a great reminder that as we pray for people. Remember, God does the healing and our part is to share His love to the people we meet.

No Unified… Youth Service Friday

Dear Unified…Youth Ohana,

Isn’t it such a wonderful and full new year already? Pastor Aaron and I are praying for your time spent together as a family reading the precious word of our Lord! Don’t you just love the Psalms and Proverbs? Daily prescriptions for a living a healthy, Godly life!

Just a reminder… there is NO youth service this Friday night 1/13/12 on the Unified…campus so don’t drop off your kiddos! We will start up again on the 20th at 6:30pm.

Allow us continue to encourage you, to get to know your family and each other in deeper ways. Spend some time just talking stories about this or that. As your children grow in age, conversations with them may require more effort and time to develop than it did when they were 6 or 8. Don’t worry. all relationships shift over time and every relationship requires effort to forge it into greatness! Find out what’s in their hearts and what they think about. May we also say the same for you moms and dads. Remember that you were husband and wife first, before the kids landed on the scene. Proverbs 5:15-19 Spend time discovering one another, again! Ask each other the same questions and get ready for the answer. Ha Ha Ha!

The Lord keep you and bless you, may He cause His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you, may the Lord lift up His countenance to you and give you peace. Num 6:24-26

Blessings and love,

Youth Recycling Awesomeness!

Aloha Unified…Family,

Wow! What a great time we’ve been having with the youth of Unified…

Friday night Celebration Youth starts at our new time of 6:30pm every Friday Night. I’ve got to tell you…these nights are packed with the goodness of the Lord! The youth enjoy every minute of our time together and simply cant wait for each Friday to arrive! If you know someone between the ages of 10-17 invite them to join us for a great time of fellowship and awesome God encounters!

The recycling drives have been a great success and rewarding in many ways! The youth are learning to be green and resourceful. They are working hard together and building wonderful relationships. And at the same time doing their part to keep Hawaii green for our future generations. The recycling drive is an ongoing event that happens every other month and we want to thank you for saving your cans for us and stopping by to drop them off!

Thank you to all who took part in our Kalua Pork Plate lunch fundraiser! We had a wonderful time preparing and working together to serve onolicious plate lunches to you our Unified…family. This fundraiser had a thanksgiving theme to it and the youth were able to take over 10 plate lunches out to our neighbors to bless them on Sunday. The neighbors were surprised and very thankful that the kids took the time to come by!

We’d like to take the time to share with you a little on the purpose of our fundraisers. We are using the fundraisers and recycling drives to raise money for youth activities and events and hopefully, even future ministry trips! We also hope to build our funds up for conference scholarships and subsidizing tuition fees for youth camps and other youth events. We appreciate all that you do to support the youth and their heart efforts!

We want to say a personal and heartfelt BIG Mahalo to each of you for blessing us and loving on the youth of Unified… You are special and we truly belong to a beautifully unique Ohana!

Me ke aloha Pumehana,

This weekend @ Unified … Youth Recycle Can Drive! Kalua Pork Plate Lunches!

Dear Unified … family,

This Saturday will be our Youth Recycling Can Drive! You can support our youth by dropping off your cans and bottles at the church from 8:30 am-11:30 am.

Also a reminder that there will be a plate lunch fundraiser for the youth on Sunday after church. I heard there will be some plate lunches available for purchase if you did not get a pre-sale ticket. It promises to be another fun time of fellowship in support of our youth.

Blessings,

Pastors Dean and Kerry

Unified… Celebration Youth Service 10/28/11

Dear Mighty Youth of Unified…

I hope that you are having an amazing week of rest and enjoyment with
your family and with Papa God! It is exciting to think of what the
Lord is preparing all of us for. We are definitely in a season of
preparation and intermission. I believe the stage is being set for
the next scene by international leaders and by our amazing Father and
Mother of Unified… Pastors Dean and Kerry. It is true that their
breakthrough becomes ours and yours becomes others!

Thank you for praying for the church grounds during construction, it
is so important to remember our house even when we are not there!
During this time of rest I’ve been reminded to spend time with my
‘first love’ and in my life that is Jesus Christ, King of Kings and
Lord of Lords! Take me back to my first love! You are the King of
the ages! He is such a good God and I cannot wait to hear of all the
God stories happening in your life when we meet again. Please also
keep our Youth Fundraiser in prayer, that is set for 11/27/11 right
after Celebration Sunday Service. We will be pre-selling tickets for
Kalua Pork plates and bowls starting next Sunday 10/30/11. Pray for
the Moody ‘ohana who is leading their very first fundraiser event at
Unified… and stay tuned for more information. We are cheering you
on Moody’s!!!

Because of the paving taking place next week, Pastor Aaron and I feel
led to cancel Youth Service for one more Friday. This is to protect
our grass and new driveway as many will not be able to see in the dark
where to drive and where not to. Also for the overall safety of
everyone. In the meantime, know how much we miss you and are praying
for you! Stay near, close and surrendered to His throne. Stay in
worship and in fellowship with each other. Blessings and joy from our
‘ohana to yours!
